Thematic Sessions

Note on 26 November: There has been a change of venue which affects only sessions 4 and 7.

Usually a talk in a thematic session will be of 40+5 minutes duration. The sessions along with their venue are mentioned below. All the halls for thematic sessions are in or around the mathematics department. The LH I to LH V are the five lecture halls in the mathematics department. ES is for Earth Sciences and MBU is for Molecular Biology Unit. The largest distance between any two of the halls is probably between LH II and MBU Annexe Hall. It will take about three minutes assuming normal pace of walk.

1. Operators, functions and linear systems by Rien Kaashoek and Sanne ter Horst will take place in LH I on all days and in LH I and LH II on 17th. (This session has seventeen speakers.) Organizers' website. Schedule.

3. Concrete operators by Alfonso Montes Rodriguez and Isabelle Chalendar will take place in LH III on 16th., 17th., 18th. and 19th. Organizers' website. Schedule.

4. Functional and harmonic analytic aspects of wavelets and coherent states by S. Twareque Ali, M. Jean-Pierre Antoine and Jean-Pierre Gazeau will take place in MBU Annexe Hall on 16th. and 19th. Schedule.
