The IISc
Mathematics Initiative (IMI), Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore will be organizing a workshop in Harmonic Analysis
and PDE from
December 05 - 13, 2008.
This workshop is aimed at
advanced research scholars, young faculty members and college
teachers who are working in Harmonic Analysis and related areas. Details of the courses are given below:
1) Harmonic Analysis on the
Complex Crown (restricted to SL(2, R)) by S.
Thangavelu
2) Topics in Euclidean Harmonic Analysis by
S. C. Bagchi, A. Bonami and Shobha Madan
3)
Topics in Harmonic Analysis/PDE by P. Gerard, Y. Guivarc'h and
A. Pasquale
4) Some research level talks by invited
speakers
There would
be about 25 outstation participants (including advanced graduate
students, young and interested faculty, scientists and
industry participants).
A maximum of 10
seats will be reserved for scientists from organizations,
which finance the theme programme.
Students and
faculty from IISc who desire to participate in the theme
programme will need to register.
